WOW! What a year! This history making year was one for the memory books! Although art at BES was not a class there was still plenty of creativity happening. I was able to create edible art with my 4th and 5th grade POD learners. It was a fabulous opportunity to discover color theory and understand the color wheel and the bonus part was that they got to eat their creations once finished! What a fun project! You may not remember when you lost your 1st tooth but I will tell you our students in Kindergarten and 1st grade remember it VERY well! So when we introduce our Tooth Fairy lesson to them they are very eager to share with us what THEIR Tooth Fairy looks like. They use their imagination to create what they think their Tooth Fairy will look like and they include the crown (which can be anything from a cap to a headband to a fuzzy ears). They also include some type of magic wand, a bag or pouch for the teeth, some type of transportation and patterns and designs. The sky is the limit and boy do they have fun! Check out a few...
Well, what a year it's been so far... SO many BIG events happening in our country and we are only in mid-January! When the world around you seems upside down and you are unsure of what is around the corner remember to take care of yourself and BEE CREATIVE! Our students have continued with their creativity and it is fun to see them grow.
